Course Overview

  
Specifically, learners will be able to: 
–             Project professional image, ensure a safe and hygienic workplace, provide a suitable environment for Swedish Massage.

–             Consult with client to confirm suitability for treatment including contraindication to massage such as skin disorders, Musculo-skeletal disorders and chronic diseases, benefits & effects, review & update client profile.

–             Provide safe and effective practice by applying different types of soft tissue manipulation techniques such as effleurage, petrissage, friction, percussion and vibration on neck, shoulder, back, upper limb, abdomen and lower limb to break down adipose (fatty) tissue, removes lactic acid, promote relaxation and release tension from muscles, produces warmth and increase joint mobility.  Major muscle groups of the neck, shoulder, back, upper limb, abdomen and lower limb including the bony landmarks at joints and muscle attachments will be identified

–             Provide Suitable after care advice to sustain the effects of treatment.

Duration : Part time – 3months  Full time – 1.2 months

Course completion Requirement is as follows:

75% pass for both theory and practical and achieve 75% attendance
