Course Overview

On completion of this course, learner will have the knowledge and application skills to perform Post-natal massage at the workplace.
Adapted from the WSQ framework, specifically, learners will be able to:
? Project professional image, ensure a safe and hygienic workplace, provide a suitable environment for post-natal massage.
? Consult with client to confirm suitability for treatment including contraindication to massage such as skin disorders, musculo-skeletal disorders and chronic diseases. Understand Key physiological changes during pregnancy; post-natal symptoms and care; psychological effects and physical body changes during post-natal period so as to accurately assess client’s general emotional state of being visually, explain benefits & effects of post-natal massage, review & update client profile
? Provide safe and effective practice include toning/firming, vaginal drainage, lymphatic drainage, pressure point, pain management with additional skill such as lactation, tummy wrap (bengkong) and suitable application of massage medium (massage oil).
? Provide suitable after care advice to sustain the effects of treatment such as stretching, general nutritional advice.

Target Audience
Suitable for job roles as Complementary Therapist, Spa Therapist. They will perform massage according to service guidelines with some adaptation to massage movements and manipulations to suit customer’s physical condition and requests.

c. Provide TCM Meridian Massage
d. VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Massage
