On completion of this course, learner will have the knowledge and application skills to perform Seated Chair Massage at the workplace. This course is recommended for those who wish to know more about our body systems and a good place to start to discover the wonders of Massage Therapy.
Specifically, learners will be able to:
• Project professional image, ensure a safe and hygienic workplace, provide a suitable environment for Seated Chair Massage and the adaptations based on the different types of workplace.
• Consult with client to confirm suitability for treatment including contraindication to massage such as skin disorders, musculo-skeletal disorders and chronic diseases, benefits & effects, review & update client profile.
• Provide safe and effective practice by applying suitable massage methods such as Tui (pushing), Na (kneading), Kou/Pai (percussion) on muscles and location of stress points of the neck, shoulder and back for quick relief. Understand the rationale for a sequence and order in stress management, types and effects of different massage movements on the neck, shoulder, upper back and upper limb.

Target Audience
Suitable for job roles as Reflexology Therapist, On-site massage therapist. They will perform massage according to service guidelines with some adaptation to massage movements and manipulations to suit customer’s physical condition and requests.
